All of my Favorites are showing up with the websites tiny logo before the names.

I've tried the Properties, change logo, doesn't work. I just want all IE logos.

Anyone know how to get rid of what looks like a long line of semaphore flags for good?

    Thanks

It's not easy but apparently it can be done. See if the solutions offered on this page work for you.

    No! You do not.

I also hate the way IE7 retrieves those website icons and attaches them to my favorite shortcut links.

Here's what I did to disable it. And, I didn't have to install any additional software or run any scripts.
    a) Close all IE windows.
    b) Go to your Favorites folder in Windows Explorer.
    c) Right click each favorite shortcut and change to the default IE icon. It's located in C:\Windows\System32\url.dll
    d) *IMPORTANT* Set every shortcut to 'Read Only'.

Now, IE7 wont be sticking anymore "favicon" to your favorite shortcut.

Now, I know this sounds like a PITA. And, it is. But, it's the only solution I've come up with so far.
