    Hello,
I have just transferred my email account to a laptop and can receive but not send emails. I have double checked details are correct in setting up account, there is no error message when I click send, it says it has been sent and is in Sent box, but the messages never arrive. Can anyone help?
    Thanks:confused:

    ellepoppy28 - Welcome to the Board :)

First double check that the connection to your ISP is set up correctly and that the address of the outgoing mail server in your email account are correct.

If you are on dialup make a new network connection to your ISP - don't just make a copy, use the new connection wizard. If on DSL reload the software.

If you are using Outlook Express - note you must post this detail initially or we are just guessing :) ....

If the problem persists it is possible that your Outbox is corrupt ....

Search for Outbox.dbx (include hidden files and folder) and, with OE closed, delete it. It will be recreated when you next open OE.

If you send an email to yourself is it received?

    Hi ellepoppy28

    1. Open Outlook Express.
    2. Select "Tools ".
    3. Select "Options "
    4. Select "Connection "
    5. Clear "Hang up after sending and receiving" box.

    Regards
