CD-RW Missing/corrupted drivers

Hi

I am running home XP. Both my CD-ROM read/writers have the little yellow "!" next to them. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. I get a code 39 'Windows cannot load the device driver to this hardware, it may be corrupted or missing'. All other drivers are working perfectly.

Any help with this problem would be gratefully received.

I had this problem for four days (pain in the butt) try google ,enter CODE 39 you should be taken to MICROSOFT page ,follow the links and hopefuly youll get a result ,if you cannot see CODE 39 try one of the other codes ie: 36,38

 

Cd/ Dvd -yellow Exclamation

To solve this pain in the ass problem type CODE 39 into google (your taken to microsoft) read the articles below ,you then click on 1 of the links then click download ,this should sort it out ,will requier restart on pc ,good luck:
