I just switched from cablemodem service (which did not require logon+password) to dsl (which does) -- how can I get the dsl to logon automatically when I start XP? (Since it's sooooooooooooo much trouble to have to right-click on the icon and click "connect ".... =^))

Place a shortcut to the DUN icon in your startup folder.....

Putting a shortcut in startup causes a connection window to open on startup, which allows me to click on the button to make the connection happen, which is a Tiparillo but not quite an actual cigar -- I'd like it to go ahead and connect on its own! Any way to do that?

Ooops -- never mind! I had checked (under Properties, Options) "Prompt for name and password, certificate, etc." -- unchecking that, with the shortcut in the startup group, and it logs on on its own!

    Thanks!

Have another problem, with the LAN, that I'll post now....
