Grand Theft Auto Vice City (not responding)

This is my desktop computer!
Whenever I try to play Grand Theft Auto Vice City, it freezes at the title screen that looks like this

I am out at college without the cd so uninstall, repair, and reinstall are not options.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

This is the first time it has occurred non stop,

other times, it may happen every once in awhile

 

Have someone mail your CD to you or wait until you go home to repair the install. Meanwhile clean your cache, run Disk Cleanup and defrag the hard drive. Also check for dust buildup in the fan/heatsink and blow it out. Try not running a bunch of other programs in the background when you are trying to play the game.

switch files exe and then worked
