i get jave plug in fatal error on both runtime envirement and virtual machine.

the re says it cannot be loaded

the vm says that several vm running in the same process caused an error.

i get the re error first followed by the vm error

according to add/remove i have the following java products
    j2se re 5.0 update1
    9
    10
    11
java se re 6 update 1

checked the java whatever in control pannel and to be honest i dont know what i am looking for or at.

i do know that i have things that will not load and i need them especially with hurricane season coming up or already here.
any help would be appreciated very much. forgot that i also get iexplore.exe application error, "the instuction at 066869bc7 referenced memory at 0x00000035 the memory could not be "read ".

    Jan,

I would download the latest sun Java to your desktop. You should not need the Java VM. Then uninstall all the previous versions of java and reboot. Then install the newly downloaded java and test.

For the IE explorer error, I have seen that caused by bad sticks of ram.

segejames, i thought that i had posted last night but guess not. i followed your suggestion downloaded java 6 saving to desktop. then went to add/remove and uninstalled every java i had. installed the new java went to have it verified and it couldnt. still had the fatal plug in errors.

this morning tried to verify java again just for the heck of it. oh yeah its verified now. still get fatal errors. and i do not have java plug in control panel anywhere on my computer. well at least not in control panel havent put in a search for it (but i will). found out that i can use the firefox on the sites that ie7 cant get on w/o plug in fatal errors. come to think of it,i didnt see the ie7 listed on java site just the 6. the only 7 was the netscape7. dont know if that has anything to do with anything or not.

thanks for answering my post im going to go and put in a search for java plug in contol panel. and will edit either way. you know sometimes this computer stuff gets really interesting.

    no search finds nothing java

Try disabling all IE7 plug-ins except Java and see if it now works. If it does re-enable one plug-in at a time to see if one of them is causing a conflict.

In IE, go to tools, internet options, advanced. Under Java(Sun), make sure 6.1 JRE is checked. It should be the only option. Uncheck everything under Microsoft VM. Close all IE windows.

    Delete the following directory:

    C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Sun\Java

    Open IE and test.
