    Hello,

I'm setting up a web remote desktop connection so I don't have to have port 3389 open to the outside world. Only problme is that when I try to connect to it using this directory I set up

    http://dev.microacetech.com/remote/

it won't let me remote desktop to any of the boxes locally, I have to enter the wan IP, and that only works when I have the port 3389 open. Is there anything special I have to do or set up so that i can log on to any of the servers on my network over the web without having oprt 3389 open on the wan?

The best solution is to create a VPN connection into your network and then use remote desktop via the VPN.

Well, the reason I wanted to try to get it to work this way is because my linksys router refuses to allow me to set up a VPN host, no matter how I try to do it, it gives me NOTHING but errors and what have you. I just can't get it to work, so I figured this way would be easier. Unelss someoen wanted to help me set up my router to be a VPN host so my laptop or other developers can connect to it...
