I use OE, and I have automatic updates set on. After an update Outlook reverts to the default email program in IE options - programs tab. How can I keep OE as my default without changing this option after updates?

I don't think you can - apart from uninstalling Outlook , but no doubt someone knows better than I do :D

Open up Outlook->Tools->Options->Other tab and uncheck "Make Outlook the Default Program "

Steve, re-read my original post. I don't want Outlook to open unless I need the calendar.

Oldsalty - re-read my post and make note of the UNcheck part.

If that box is checked it would maybe explain why Outlook is taking over;)

Try looking in Control Panel->Add/Remove Program->Set Program Access and Defaults->see if it says OE is the default.

Ok, that was not set. Now we will have to wait for my next IE update to see if it works.

    Thanks All!!
