    How do I change the default of IE 7 opening a new window to a new tab?

    Be bold - be brave and get familar with your software:eek:

    While your doing that, look in Tools->Internet Options->General Tab->TABS Settings button

    Steve, that was set but I am still getting new windows when I click on a link. Any reason for this?

    Right click on the link > Open in new tab

    If you have a wheel mouse, click on the link with the wheel. That will open it in a new tab.

    I have the same mouse. I just checked and in Control Panel>Mouse the wheel is set to "middle click "...in case you want to use the wheel-click method.

    Thank you for that :) Not exactly intuitive though - I had tried most of the 'obvious' options for the scroll wheel button (Wireless Optical Mouse).
