Office 2007 Enterprise, Word 2007, running under Windows XP Professional

Whenever the application is opened, or if a new file (blank) is created, or if an old file is opened, a dialogue appears saying:

"The function you are attempting to run contains macros or content that requires macro language support. When this software was installed, you (or your administrator) chose not to install support for macros or controls. "

It takes up to 10 clicks on the OK button and/or the "close" button to get rid of this thing. If nothing is done, the dialogue box reappears about every 10 minutes or so.

I have followed the instructions relating to Trust Center Settings, I have installed everything I could find relating to enabling languages.

I have uninstalled Office 2007, cleaned the registry and all temp files, and reinstalled Office 2007 at least 7 times.

    Any suggestions?

    David

How about this for starters while I look into how and why the installation of visual basic is an issue:

---Back with a couple of new "could be's "---
    http://groups.google.com/group/micr...ce+2007+macros+error&rnum=12#519fb0df94a17cf1

This post seems to cover a couple of bases that may prove helpful:
    Additional comment:
Knowing that an office install can be modified in any numbers of ways and not knowing how you did so, did you make sure to include in the install:
    >vba,
    >vba digital signature support
    >and possibly *.net support
These components play a major role in your problem and will effect any success in the options you have for your "Trust Center Settings ", both for "add-ins" and "macro Security ".

    Oh mighty godez:
    Thanks for all the tips.
    I tried all, no help.
    For general info I:
Found no macros anywhere (deleted some I had under Word 2000 n another folder)
Do not have Visual Basic and VB for applications is checked as "NA" in Shared Features
tried VBA Digital Signatures, enabled or disabled makes no difference
In the installation I have turned on:
    Excel
    Power Point
    Word
    Shared Features
Visio Viewer (in or out makes no difference)
Office Tools (also in or out makes no difference)
Note: All the Startup and Template folders I could find under Documents and Settings\...\Application Data\Microsoft\... are empty. Does this mean anything?
