I just purchased a new PC pre-loaded with Vista. I have resized it's partition (from within Vista) and go to install XP on a new partition. However, I believe I am running into the addressing cap of 137GB because the installer shows a blank drive of 137GB. When I tried created a partition on this it destroyed the Vista installation and I had to start over again with restore disks. All I have is restore disks for Vista, so I need to have that installed first.

SO my question is basically if there is something I can do from within the installation to fix the drive size limit on XP. Everything I find says to install SP2, which obviously cannot be done before the system is even installed. ANy help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the replies, none were directly helpful but they at least sent me in the right direction. I ended up using a program called AutoStreamer to integrate SP2 into my XP CD.
