I am in the final stages of loading up software on a new computer with Windows Vista. When I click on favorites in the menu bar of Internet Explorer, the drop down sub menu shows the outline but none of the sub folders is visible. I think it was working before.

What is the solution to this (short of a complete re-installation of Windows).

Important to know whether it was or not. Presumably you have imported your Favourites from a backup off your old computer? - try another import.

Cannot say but I have checked another identity on the computer where no changes have been made to favorites from the original installation and the same problem is there as well. All other menu items work as they should; it is only the favorites where this problem occurs.

Any way to set IE back to original settings?

That didn't solve the problem. Funnily enough, the favorite icon brings down the favorites list (albeit a bit slowly), it is just the menu item that has this problem.

I would try and download and re-install IE, but the web site does not have a Vista verrsion for download.

I am not running Vista, but it has a repair option similar to that of XP - I would consider using that.
