Quickbooks Timer trying to install Speech on run

I have reinstalled Quickbooks 2004 and Timer on my new PC.

When attempting to run Timer, I am presented with a window that prompts
me to insert the "microsoft Speech SDK1.5" disk and click OK. When I
click cancel, I get an error 1706 saying no valid source could be found
for the product and that the Windows Installer cannot continue. Then
when I click OK it starts trying to install again, then again, then
eventually Timer actually starts. It runs fine then.

Can anyone suggest how I can stop the attempted Speech installation every time I run timer?

I have asked this on the Quickbooks newsgroup without a serious response. The Quicken helpdesk say it's about the Speech software and I need to install it correctly. I have NEVER tried to install speech software, I wouldn't even want it.

Do you think this could be something in Windows XP Pro?

Thanks Steve - I found Speech in my programmes list so have uninstalled it and timer is working fine now.
