I would like to set up medica player to automatically start playing the CD that is in the CD drive at a specific time and I need to be able to set it to turn off at a specific time as well. I can set the time on and off using the WinXP shceduler but I can't figure out how to make it automatically play the CD present in the drive.

I'll be using this setup to play a short period of music in a church.

Go to schedule a task and then just schedule the song you want to play. Windows will automatically open the necessary program to run the song. So, in effect, you are scheduling the song to play, not Windows Media Player.
