I know there is way in Outlook 2003 (on XP Pro SP2) to have emails that are sent to a specific recipent to always be sent in plain text. But is there a way that all emails received from a specific recipent can be converted into Plain Text from HTML (that they are currently sent it)? Or do I need to inform the sender that I want emails sent in Plain Text and not HTML?

you can tick a box to make all emails recieved open in "plain text" and then you still have the option of viewing it in html if it was sent that way.

Tools, options, preferences, email options, 5th box down "read all standard mail in plain text ". Hope thats of some help.

will this not make all my emails in plain text? I am looking to get emails from just one email address (bob@world.com, for example) to be converted to plain text, i am happy with the rest being HTML, or whatever format the sender specified.

AFAIK, what you wan't can't be done. It's either all or nothing. You can't set email received from just 1 person to be plain text.
