long long ago before mozilla apps, i used outlook, business and personal, and i seem to recall that the personal outlook read in emails onto my hard drive, can't recall how the business outlook app functioned tho...

anyway, a ladyfriend who is not very pc knowledgeable is using outlook 2003 pro in a business environment, and she is wanting to "capture" some of the creative work that she has done over the years (spreadsheets, design stuff, etc...most of it attached to outlook emails) and of course she simply wants to push one button and have it all magically done...:)

based on what she is telling me, i am speculating that the emails/files are stored on company servers and there is no way that she can accomplish this task without leaving some kind of an audit trail, or without going into each and every email/file and doing a copy/paste (which she deems prohibitive due to volume...)...

can anyone please enlighten me on what her situation might be, or how to accomplish this without "detection" if the info is stored on company servers?

You don't mention if she is using outlook locally, terminal server/citrix or OWA.

If its locally she might also be running outlook in "cached mode ", if this is the case then there will be a folder called ????.ost (in a hidden folder) which is her mailbox strored locally. You need to get some more info.
