Windows Vista DVD Audio in Vista

    I am running Vista Home Premium and cannot hear the audio when playing a DVD in Windows Media Center. Does anyone know what is wrong?

    What audio card are you using? Is it the onboard? If so what chipset? Realtek has some updated drivers for vista on their site, that work well. Make sure you don't have it surround mode. Also make sure you don't have the audio muted for Media Center. The new volume control lets you mute applications instead of devices.

    My MSI Diamond mainboard has a built in Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE soundcard. Audio is enabled in Bios. nForce 590 SLi.

    I went into Vista Windows Media Center and setup the audio. Now it works....
