which cpu to upgrade to

    here,s hoping someone can help.
    i used crucial.con to see what upgrades my pc needed and it says i can use a faster cpu,remove the 256 memory and add another 512.
    question is how do i find out which cpu is compatible:confused: :confused: :confused:

    I did a cpu support lookup at the Asus site (support.asus.com) and it appears that your Asus A7N8X mainboard will take any Athlon XP ever made all the way up to a 3200+. Some of the cpu listings note to check the version of your mainboard to be perfectly sure.

    I think the bigger question is....where are you ever going to find an Athlon XP to buy?
