Hello, I recenlty had an attack by a hacker I think I had trojans and all kinds of other things. So I formatted and erased the partitions. I try to install Windows XP PRO 64 BIT and Windows XP PRO 32 version and always encounter the same problem: It finishes the installation succesfully but when it supposed to start the windows for the first time, before even shows the logo it sayd that Windows encounter an error and shows me the screen where I can choose between Safe Mode/Last Known Good Configuration and so on. I tried all the options but always I reach this error and the screen. I thought it's my 64 BIT XP but I tried the 32 BIT version and the same thing. I though I probably have a problem with my data cable or may be my hard drive but I managed to install Fedora 6(I'm using to post this:) So... I really have no ideas is it a virus or what can I do to fix the problem so please respond with some help.
    Thank you

Maybe a hardware issue. Check your RAM and HD. The power supply may also be going south. Substitution with a known good is about the only way to test it.

I'm sticking with the bad hardware diagnosis. Power supply would be next in line since you report RAM and HD pass tests.

I will hedge that by saying I have seen bum video hardware or corrupt video drivers cause similar problems. This is unlikely since you reported no error messages during install and there would have likely been one if the video system wasn't performing normally.
