Hello everyone. My laptop can't boot after suddenly shuting down and when I open the power after the hp logo, the is a blank screen with only a hyphen. The computer won't boot up at all. All I see is a blinking cursor. Please help. :(

sawwah - Welcome to the Board :)
Were you running on battery or mains power? May be as simple as a flat battery.

Can you start the computer in Safe Mode? .....

do you try some other startup?? like CD-ROM, you can try boot it from this ,and to see if the system is right.
Maybe some hardware has the problem.

Please be more specific in your posts - the info you gave is lacking in several respects, specifically to use the first Repair option and to enter the Recovery Console.

Please do not assume that all posters have your degree of knowledge - the computer experience listed by each post is inserted by the user and is often far short of the mark :)
