I have recently been receiving the following message every time I start my computer. Can anyone tell me in plain English what it means, and what are the implications.

"RTHDCPL.EXE "“ Illegal System DLL Relocation

"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The aplication will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL." (Quotation marks mine.)

How does one get a new DLL? How does one install such a creature?

The computer seems to be functioning properly, and I haven't noticed any memory problem. Could this be the result of a a virus or other type of malware or is it simply a breakdown of the normal DLL functioning for some internal reason?

Thanks. I found and downloaded the patch. Exactly why it didn't go through Automatic Update I have no idea, but everything seems ok .

Additionally, I don't think I have any of the items affected by the problem, but who knows...
