It may have been the program I was running (my own creation) that crashed or it may have been a small power outage/glitch. I have an UPS system that works, but who knows, maybe something got by it... maybe my computer was hit with a surge through the internet cable.

It could be due to overheating, bad power supply or poorly written program.

But, CAN it happen due to a poorly written program? Usually a crash system reboots, and doesn't stay shut off. Can it happen?

I know that overheating/power issues can do it, but can a program do it?
