DVD burner door

I bought a DVD burner just over a year ago. I often have difficulty getting the door open. This has gotten worse gradually. I tried going to My Computer and right clicking on the drive and clicking Eject, but that does nothing. When I try to open the door by pushing the button, the green light comes on, but it usually won't open until I push the button a bunch of times. When I searched this site, I found a thread with a similar problem that said something about a Nero icon, but although I have Nero and sometimes use it, I can't seem to locate an icon in the sysyem tray. I am actually mostly using a program called NeoDVD to burn home videos onto DVD's. The problem will occur, however, before I even open that program. I will try to open the door to put a blank DVD in before I open the program. Anyway, any suggestions will be appreciated.

 

I installed the tray pal utility and it seems to work great. Thanks for the assist.
