I need chipset drivers for the Intel 440GX. I am not positive what I got is correct, so I wanted to see if anyone could point me to what is definitely the right download.

When I specifically requested Win2000, all I got was a chipset ID utility. So I re-request calling for all operating systems. All I get is that plus drivers for Win9x. So does this mean Win2000 doesn't need chipset drivers for the 440GX?

I clicked "Download" next to "Intel® 440GX AGPset" and on the page that opened, there was a drop down menu to select the operating system. I selected Win2K and had the same result as you. I also followed the link to "Previously Released Software" but there were no drivers.

I would try finding drivers from the manufacturer of the motherboard. If Intel, do the search for the motherboard, not the chip set.

The motherboard is a Supermicro P6DGE. I found nothing at ftp.supermicro.com, or at least nothing I could tell would be it.

I just found something at http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=17 and that just might work. It passed my virus checker, but I would still prefer getting this from a canonical source.

D'oh! (as Homer would say). The installer told me I was already up to date. Perhaps it was because I already had SP4 installed. The download is not that big, so I will keep it around just in case I have to re-install Windows (my CD only has SP2 on it).
