A couple of weeks ago I lost about 37 days worth of emails. That day it took me 3 times to get into Outlook and when I finally got in I noticed a large group of emails missing. I found them in my deleteditems.dbx, but I'm trying to figure out how they got there, since I did not delete them. It happened to several other people I work with(not the same day) and MIS said they never of it or can explain why it happened. I'm using NT 4.0 workstation and we have Microsoft Exchange. Also, I thought maybe a virus might have done it, but we are using an antivirus program and I scanned my computer and no viruses were found. Any thoughts on what could have caused this to happened would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Were the messages deleted before or after arriving in the in-boxes? Are any filters/rules defined?

The emails that were deleted were from 6/11 to 7/17. On 7/18 is when I noticed that chunk was missing when I looked for an email I had received on the 17. On 7/18 is when I had trouble getting into Outlook, it took 3 attempts to get in and get my new emails. I'm thinking something happened in that process of trying to get the emails for the 18th, even though I received no error of any sort.

Also, I do not have any filters or rules.

    Thanks

McAfee AV e-mail scanning has been known to cause similar symptoms.
