Thanx for the link, will give it a read.

Sadly after finally getting most things working, the wireless has stopped working. It says it is working via the router homepage thing but my laptop or PSP can detect an Access Point. Is there a wireless tester or something I can test to see where the problem is? :(

Dansco - that is a new problem. Therefore, I have separated it from the original thread, out into a new thread. Your wireless router is a Netgear DG834G, but what wireless network card are you using in your PC?

My first inkling would be a rogue signal on the same channel from a neighbour.
Go into the router and try changing the channel.
There are 12 channels. Default is channel 6 with almost all routes.
As a start try changing to 1 or 11.
You can use a more sensitive product like netstumbler to check for other signals ( however you may not even pick up the culprit and yet it may disrupt your reception).
You can turn off encryption once changed and see if you can log on.
You can reset the router if you need to and start from scratch if you are still having trouble.
Be forewarned if you have dsl you will eliminate your log on password and account.
If you are logged onto the router and cannot get an internet connection check to see in the status of the wan of the router that you are logged on with an ip.
It may be that you have to reconnect.
First step if you have a non ip situation is to unplug both devices ( router and modem) wait a minute and then plug in .
This is either a cable or dsl connection.
With the dsl depending on the settings you may have to tell the router to connect.

Thanx for your help but I seemed to have solved it myself. Was told to turn it off and then reset the settings. It came back when I turned it back on again. ;)
