Struggling to figure out Windows Vista, need a little help if possible.

My director has a new machine with Vista and Windows Mail. Her email program is suddenly printing the body of an email in about 16pt font (when printed, the header remains a normal 10pt arial size). On the monitor screen, the header and the body appear to be the same size and should print the same size. The enlarged font on the email body causes a regular email to print on two or three pages, whereas it should print on a single page.

I say it's "suddenly" printing large font, because it didn't do that before - this is a recent happening. I did a system restore to last month when this wasn't happening, and still the body of the email prints in a very large font. I don't think it's the printer (Samsung laser M2010) because it behaves properly with Word and other programs. I've gone into settings options on Windows Mail and changed the font size to 10 pt, but it has made no difference.

If anyone has experienced this and has a solution - can you post back? I have a break right now and can actually attend to this problem :) It's driving her nuts and I'm the one who is supposed to fix it.

    Thanks!!

    resolved with the obvious suggestion

Well, I finally had some time to give to this problem this morning and it's now fixed. It just needed a driver reinstall, which is what I probably would have recommended first if anyone came to me with a similar problem.

I had previously downloaded a Vista driver for the ML-2010 when I first set up the machine because Vista did NOT recognize this printer and COULD NOT install it from its own database.

I went back online this morning and re-downloaded a Vista driver for this printer, then I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver. That seemed to do the trick, it is printing email correctly now.

So, I'm getting smarter: I saved that driver in a downloads folder for future use!! It's been a good day so far! :)

More funky Vista stuff! My wife has a ML-2010 that works just fine in Vista Home Basic with the XP drivers. It's her ML-2510 that won't work (but the updated drivers fixed that also).
