Quick question and I already think the answer is "yes" but wanted to make sure. Will an ATI graphics card work in an Nvidia SLI board, specifically, this one - MSI P6N SLI Platinum LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboardard?

Btw, I'm only refering to single card solutions here, not crossfire or sli configurations. I'm really just wondering if I'm losing flexibility in this respect by going with an Nvidia board. My think is PCI-E is PCI-E, regardless of the board, and the real differences lie on in dual card compatibility.

The ATI card will work singularly.

SLI only uses two nVidia cards. Crossfire only uses two ATI cards.

If you get the ATI card and want SLI later, you will need to replace it with two matching nVidia cards.

Given the fact that Nvidia puts out some of the best mainboard chisets out there I'd say go for it.

    Thanks guys,

Kinda figured that was the case. And, yeah, I agree, seems like a real nice board for the money.
