When I click a link in an e-mail to open my default Firefox browser, a small blank IE7 window opens. How can I prevent this?

Did you make Firefox your default browser? Tools|Options|Main|bottom of page check mark. This is the path for FF2.0.0.3.Which mail application do you use?
I am using Thunderbird, and I never see IE7.I I have WinXP, SP2

Yes, Firefox is my default browser, and was before this started, possibly with IE7 download. My e-mail client is Eudora. Firefox also now often starts with two iterations of the clicked link window.

Which OS do you have? In my XP, I select Custom for the set access and default in the Control Panel. This way IE7 does not override Firefox.
Which versions do you have? All I see is "Firefox ", now Eudora, and IE7. No mention of OS. I don't know the Eudora settings, and, never did anything with IE7.

    Hi there

Go to Start/Default Programs/Set Default Programs/Firefox/ Then pick default for all the types of files...and then it will only open firefox...

How do you pick default for all files at that particular location?

I used the Custom setting, which doesn't mention Firefox, but says "use current browser ", which I have selected. I still get a blank IE windoe open every time I click on a link in email.
