    Hi all,

I normally will download my Virus definitions straight from Symantec site. However, after the file was downloaded on this instance, I doubled click on it as usual, then it was unable to extract the zipped Virus Definitions...

The error message was : "unable to locate updat32.exe" file. This file is normally held in the Temp folder but I remember I cleared all the items from that folder.

Do you know where I can downloard the "updat32.exe" file. If you have it please send it to me at: dandall#central-bank.org.tt.

My computer Virus Definitions are out-dated, which means when I go on the net, it is susceptible to any new viruses released....Please help.

    Hello dandall,
    welcome to Windows BBS ... :) ... !

I have no help to offer but I took the liberty of editing your E-mail addy by substituting # for @. Having the addy out in the open is unwise. It invites harvesters and potentially results in you getting spammed!

One can navigate right to Symantec's site by opening help in your Norton application and logically following the links, it would be smart to download the latest definitions again. The comment about be fearful of going online because you don't have the latest definitions installed doesn't hold a lot of water if you have been regularly keeping up with definitions - you would be a week out of sync at the worst. Now, if there is more to this situation than what has been stated, we'll need more specifics.

    ;)
