2WIRE question...

    Does anyone know what the IP is to get into the config utility of a 2WIRE router. Mine's version 1080G. Also, any advice as to how to tweak it to make the connection faster than it is? I have a G router, and I have to reset it more often than I should. I had a Linksys G router before that it was dire need of a firmware upgrade before it worked at all.

    Most of them are 192.168.1.254

    You can access more functions if you type this in the address bar:

    homeportal/management

    This information was for a 2701 model, but it might work with yours.

    If you want to access the router you are directly connected to and using to access the internet, the router's internal IP address will be your default gateway. So run ipconfig at a command prompt to get the gateway address.
