I have found sites to UK. could this be a virus

Hello All
I hope someone would know how I ended up with website that are not in english. Ever now and then I check to see what website are allowed and what is not. When my home page dose not come up I have to go to tools, internet options, privacy,sites and look in managed websites. to see if something was deleted.
Tonight when I went in I found sites like whocheckingwho.com, toplist.cz ( this site is not in the english I know) , r-kimedia.co.uk. I have know idea how they were enter as always allow. I never heard of these sites.
Anyone have any idea on how they got there.

 

Did you google those? Sounds to me like you might have some BHO's, and that you should post in the Sub-Forum = Removing Spyware & Viruses , for some help.

Here is how we like to begin our analysis of your pc:

For starters, if you do not have them yet, please DL and run AdAware & Spybot Search & Destroy. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy are 2 of the most trusted apps in the security area. They are both free, compliment each other nicely, and do not use a lot of resources. They can be found here:

Please download Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware.

Download AdAware and Spybot. follow the install instructions, check for updates, then scan,repair/remove/quarantine anything found. Reboot before next scan with whichever app is next. The reason for running these apps, is to clean up some of the other 'crapware' on your pc, which, in turn, will make deciphering your HJT log, easier.

* Click here to download HJTsetup.exe

• Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
• Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
• Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
• Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
• Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
• At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
• Click on the Scan button.
  You will notice the [Scan] button will turn into a [Save Log] button. [/b] It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
• Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
• Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
• DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Thanks for the info. I tried to download spybot search &distroy. But my internet security kept kicking it out . So I ran my internet security program after reseting it on permium. It took 8 hours but there is no no more problems.
It seem in trying to save money I over looked the fact that I will lose more if I don't have a good program running.
The problem was in the email scan. I don't see anything now. The scan said I had 89354 files and 200,000 messages . And now it is telling me I have 2 files and no messages.
The internet security that I used is panda internet security 2007, and one from white canyon. If you are not careful with this one you can wipe all file from your computer. (I know I have done it )
