After creating a separate partition on XP, I did a clean install to Vista Premium just to try it out. It dual boots and works fine. I was also able to take all the upgrades for the drivers. Now since I did not put in a product key during the install, I have less than 30 days to activate it. (I used a Windows Anytime Upgrade disk). I'd like to purchase a Premium Upgrade and just do an upgrade and put in the new key so I don't have to start all over again with driver updates and some program installs. Can this be done? Will it just accept the key information from the newly purchased Upgrade disk? In other words can I use the Anytime Disk again and this time just enter the product key from the newly purchased upgrade disk and activate it?

This is the Windows Anytime Upgrade disk from Microsoft. I got it directly from them for $7.00. I heard it comes free with many new Vista computers. It is supposed to work only as an upgrade from a previously installed Vista. Like all the other upgrades it has all the versions on the disk and will even upgrade an XP machine even though they deny it. However there is no key that comes with it. The default key cannot be upgraded (already used) and you need to buy a new one. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pr...orupgrade/windowsanytimeupgrade/overview.mspx

I purchased an upgrade and just inserted it (Change Key) and called the activate phone # and its done...But it would have been nice to try the skip rearm.
