I'm replying to this via a laptop running a netgear wireless card. You probably don't want to know where I am, but suffice to say that I am taking full advantage of the wireless facility.

Vista didn't find the drivers on install. However, it did detect the wired NIC. So I connected directly to my router via cable and then ran a driver update on my wireless card, letting windows search for updates on the internet. It found working drivers straight off and I've been running wirelessly ever since.
