I would add that the training is indeed 'at your own pace', however training is not something you can do 15 minutes a week.

For just same basic, low level instructions for using HJT that may be ok, but to really get to know infections well and how to spot them it takes a pretty good amount of dedicated time to learn that.

I been at it for over 2 years every day and Blender probably forgets more than I know.

That being said, we can always use more help. I just want you to know what you're getting yourself into. :D

    Hi Blender,
I copied it and ran it per your instructions and this was the results:

    File not found - uttss.bak2
    Could not find C:\WINDOWS\system32\uttss.bak2
    File not found - uttss.ini2
    Could not find C:\WINDOWS\system32\ini2

Note: I will reinstall Zone Alarm for Firewall purposes...

Thank you for the other info...

    Attn: TeMerc,

Thank you for the info...I guess what I am seeking is, I do a fair amount of troubleshooting computers in a course of a year and 95% of it is what I like the best "Viruses, Trojans, Spyware, etc, etc "... I am always learning and have a strong desire to learn more...Thanks to this forum, I have learned alot of techniques like what I have with this posting and many others in the past but never figured out how those techniques were learned so I can apply them... Personally I would be glad to be part of your staff because it's been this forum that has been there for me when I needed help and I would like to some day return something for all everyone has done for me... What ever someone thinks is the best way to climb the ladder can sure be takened into consideration...As always, all is appreciated...

If you're still wanting to get involved hitting either of the afore mentioned schools is where you need to go, good luck and thanks for taking the time.

And as Blender mentioned, it's addicting!!:D

    Hi,

Sounds good. I guess those files are really gone now. I expect either your AV or AS apps nuked them before you ran that batch.

    You can delete "delete.bat "

    Take care & surf safe!

    Hi Blender,
Okay, thank you for everything...The computer was returned this morning. After downloading Internet Explorer 7 it kept going off line but was still able to surf the web sites...I'll have to deal with that another day...I told them to hook it up and let me know if it still continues, they have dial up and while their computer was at my house I hooked it up to DSL...

Attn: TeMerc... I fully understand it's addicting, I already have that problem, if I was married I'd be headed for divorce court not that being a single parent has been without consequences...I will look into everything and at some point touch base with everyone...Thank you...
