I cant format a bootable floppy from the Dos prompt.
I can format it as in,
    Format A:

But to make a bootable one as in, I what to flash my bios
    I used to use
    Format A: /s
that gives me a message of to many parameters. I tried
    Format A:\s FormatA:\s Format A:/s none worked

    Any suggestions?
I wonder if I supposed to be in a certain windows directory

    Thanks
    Aziefel:(

Go to My Computer and right click the A: drive, select "Format" (be sure you have a disk in the drive first) and then select "Create an MsDos start up disk.

    Geeze do i feel dumb

I just answered the same quetion in abx es thread
I guess I didnt realize thats what I needed a bootable floppy
    is a startup disk.
I was thinking that making the formatted disk you would first the
floppy with the Sytem command "/s ". Then install your flash.exe
    and the bin.
Would you belive me if i told you "yeah I done this before ".

    Aziefel

I've done worse things but it's always fun to have company. :)

The fact that XP no longer has the /s switch in the Format mode throws many people off.

    BTW, if you also want an XP boot disk that will get you into Windows when one of the XP loader files is corrupt or missing, place a diskette in the A: drive and run the following commands, pressing Enter after each line;

    FORMAT A:
    XCOPY C:\NTLDR A:\ /H
    XCOPY C:\NTDETECT.COM A:\ /H
    XCOPY C:\BOOT.INI A:\ /h
