If you lock your keys in your car and someone else has a lock - unlock remote for your auto call them on your cell phone, hold your cell close to auto have them push unlock. works from 0 to 3000 miles away.

    Hi, Dytrog.

I've seen this claim before but I never have experimented to see if it actually works.

    Have you confirmed it works?

Do you recall when you were successful? Do you recall details about how you were successful? What distance between the remotely located key fob transmitter and the car? What year/make/model car? What cellular service? Analog or digital cellular service? What make/model cell phone? etc.

If you find you are ever successful again with unlocking a car over great distance (miles) via cellular, please let us know details. Without details, I tend to be a non-believer.

Please forgive me for being skeptical. It's my nature. :)

While I was typing/editing this message, I noticed you followed up with a claim that the old remote keyless entry systems used an audible signal. Do you recall details about that? I have never heard of keyless car entry systems using audible signals. If you can provide any handy links to online information about this, that would be great!

No problem when I started locksmithing it cost about $500.00 to start. the equip i have now is over $50.000 to stay up with all the comp. stuff in autos.
what was and is is much diff. I ahve to learn something new almost everytime they come out with a new model.
