Hi- Moving from WinXPpro to Vista. I managed to transfer the contents of my address book into a folder titled Contacts. When I click on the folder they are all there. When I go back to the mail program and click contacts it is empty. Did a search for any other contacts folder and found only the one above.

How can I make the email addresses apear in my contacts folder?

    Thanks TRoof

What email program are you using now and what email program were you using before?

In what form did you save the contacts? Did you export them into a file from the old email program?

If you did export them into a file, have you tried to import them into whatever email program you're using now?

If you still have your *.wab in XP, or a pathh to it if you saved it the operation is very simple (*.wab is found under Documents and Settings/(Your account)/Application data/Microsoft/Address book)
Open Windows Mail in Vista. Select FILe and import. There you will find the option to import all your addresses to the new folder (Now called "contacts ") The new address book can be found under "Users "/(Your account) - entitled Contacts.

Thanks for the replies. The last reply did the trick. "Simple "? After exaustive searches, i.e. Google, MSBBS came through again. Thanks again. - TRoof
