OE randomly flips back to desktop

This is for a friend, next door. I've checked previous posts and responses and can't seem to come up with the same problem.

She's has WinXP he, IE6. When opening IE and then clicking on OE in the menu bar she claims that the system 'flips' back to the desktop, this is a random occurrence.

On my machine, I've opened Options in OE, but I don't see anything that would cause OE to close and flip to the desktop.

Wondering if anyone has seen this problem.

 

In IE, go to Tools/Interner Options/Programs and see what is says there for mail and is IE checked for the default browser?

 

Thanks, MrBill, I'll have her check that. As for the browser, the only one that she has used is IE. (But she likes to roam around, so she may have d/l another - we'll see).
