    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if wikipedia is supposed to be an online encyclopedia, or a discrete propaganda / advertising site?

On three separate occasions, I've entered some material on my internet radio station, and have found my article proposed for deletion within minutes, and on every occasion, the article on my station was gone within five to ten hours.

I've made sure that the article was complete, in header form, with comprehensive detail of my station, making sure it's not a stub (vague description). I've e-mailed their support section; only to have the reply of, "read our terms and conditions ". The section generally talks about fowl language, racial and religious hate material, and the sabotaging of articles. I couldn't see anything about "articles on internet stations" not being allowed.

I thought, I may have made my article seem like an advertisement, so I deliberately worked my article around the same style of another radio stations entry. In the end it was still deleted for the forth time. I am completely mystified on this, and can only think that they are many users on wikipedia with an axe to grind, which would say a lot about the encyclopedia’s integrity?

I checked and there seems to be other radio stations, but for some reason, my material keeps getting deleted, and I don't know why? The programs are in continuous music format, without any political agenda. The station just plays retro. I would have no idea in hell at all, why some one would have sour grapes?

    Thanks

My guess is that someone with a competing station is playing dirty. Have you contacted the admin/webmaster?
