When i try to start the print spooler service is says it could not start due to one of its dependices not being started. So i go and look at RPCSS (remote procedure call service) and it is started but i can not stop, pause, restart or do anything to it. This PC needs to print so it needs the print spooler service to run. (I have rebooted the PC many times, and have tried different user accounts)
    Windows XP Pro SP2

    Thank you.

Try this: from the Run window (Start > Run), type net start spooler, and press OK.

    Do you receive ant errors?

You can't make any changes to the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service.

Right, i can not do anything to the remote procedure call service.
When i try that it says Error 1068, dependency group or service failed to start.

    Thanks

Ok, so i tried those steps but it did not work.
Do you think a "sfc /scannow" will fix it?

    Thanks.
