    Hi,

My problem is that i cannot download a file off one particular site. I am using Firefox 2.0.0.2 and can download off every other site but this one. i have cleared my cache and cookies but still nothing.

I have also tried using IE7 but the same happens. I know it's not the site as my friend can download off it.

    Thanks

    Hi Alex,

What's the site? Can you give us a URL?

    Alex ...

I had no trouble downloading anything from the site, either with FF's built-in downloader, or with GetRight, my usual download manager. I don't have the BitTorrent client installed, so couldn't open what I'd downloaded.

The problem is that when i click on the web page link to download the file, nothing happens. the page looks as if it is trying to load because Fasterfox counts the time it is taking to load.

Are you right-clicking and selecting "Save Link As... "? When I do that, FF's download manager opens immediately.

Check your settings in the Downloads section of the Main tab in Tools > Options. The attachment shows what mine are.

Otherwise, I don't know what to suggest.

    Ah... i found the problem

Seems it was something to do with Download Accelerator Plus 8. Dunno why it would be causing it though.

    Thanks for the help anyway.

I'm glad you found the problem, Alex.

I used GetRight as my download manager long before I began using FF, and have stayed with it. It works so well that I've never tried Download Accelerator Plus, or any of the many other DL managers available.
