DST Patch Check tool

Here's a quick tool to see if your computer is ready for the early Daylight Savings Time this year. It was made by Jeff Williams at the University of Minnesota and uses JavaScript to detect patch status. A green circle means you should be good to go. Important applications that rely on time should probably still be checked manually as well.

(MS KB932590 says that "Windows-based applications that use the TZ environment variable may not work as expected because of changes to DST." And offer a patch for that.)

Thanks - just tested against two installations, one patched, the other not patched, and the site displayed the appropriate colors and messages.

If not patched, a red circle.

That's good confirmation -- I sent the link to Mom for an easy check if she's ready for DST. Her reply "I got the green circle so it's Ok, if it isn't I'll wait till you visit to fix it. "
