    Hello All,

I am having a problem editing the auto login. I used tweaki 4.0 to set the auto login. I rebooted the machine and the autologin worked but it took me back to my old configuration. I tried to disable it in tweaki 4.0 but I am unable to do so and get a message about win98. I am running win2k. Can someone tell me where to find the auto login information in the registry so that I can go into it and disable the auto login. Thanks.

    Hi astone
Admittedly...I've not got a clue in the world....so please take it as the W.A.G that I'm giving it as. Any chance you have the wrong tweakui ?

    Hi Daizy:

It is the right tweaki 4.0, but it did something to ***** up the system. After connecting with the remote computer, whenever I boot the machine, it logs in as the user of the remote computer, instead of Administrator of the computer which I am working on. I have sent an email to JetMar in hopes that they can tell me what to do. I know that there is an entry in the registry for login, I just don't know where to look. If I log off the computer and login as the Administrator, I get the screen that I should. If I reboot, I get the other machine's login. GO FIGURE!

If you haven't found the registry key:

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\AutoAdminLogon - set to 1
Set DefaultUserName and DefaultPassword as well

Thanks, I appreciate the response. BTW, heard from the maker of Tweaki, there was a bug in the auto login routine. He sent me another copy of it.

    Is it working?

    Hi Daizy,

In fact it was your suggestion that got me working. I downloaded the tweaki you sent me and used it to correct the login that Tweaki 4.0 was ******** up. Didn't have to use his new edition. In fact I am abit wary of using it. Seems to me that someone should have caught that bug before I did.

    It certainly does seem odd.
But glad you got your problem solved. Thanks so much for taking the time to post back.
