files transfer wizard [not recognising optical drives]

Hi all,
I have a new Dell that came will files and transfer wizard to allow me to transfer from old dell to new. A step in the process is to put the wizard on disc from new to use on old. When the options come up to choose drive to copy wizard to, it only give me f,g,h,i,j, to choose from. D and E are not showing up as options. However, D and E show up and work just fine for any other application I need them for, just not coming up as option for the files transfer. Any ideas? Dell is working on it, but I don't have all day .Thanks for your time.Tawnya

 

The transfer wizard creates a small set of files. You do not have to use them where they are - you can move or copy them elsewhere. You can create them on one of your hard disk partitions and then copy the files to CD/DVD from there.
