this should be so easy, but I couldnt find a salution on yahoo.
I just wanna lock my desktop image, and not have it changed by a buddy, when I let him borrow the my computer. Is there a simple solution for this, besides passwording the screensaver etc?
    thanks a bunch!

I was thinking the same but XP Home doesn't have gpedit. So, it would probably require editing the registry manually if Home is the OS being used.

Perhaps you could set up a Guest Account for your friend and password protect your own account and settings. That way he could set up some of his own stuff and you wouldn't have any of yours changed.

Added Later - That is how I handle my computer setup for visiting relatives. I have a Guest Account set up for their use.
