Hi...many links are Javascript code, and are returning "error on page" and will not load. An inconvenience sometimes, but I need other pages to load. Can't believe there is that much 'bad' Javascript out there. I'm running XP Media Ctr, with latest IE 7, and CA's Internet Security Suite. All DLL's are registered. Any suggestions appreciated...Thx. (Note: Have solved all script probs with OE 6, and appreciate Bill Castner's help/advice in recent threads under MAIL forums.)

    Poss. solution

Hi all...I believe I've found the prob...CA's new Internet Security (e.g. specifically the anti-virus module) is "freezing" Javascripts when in 'real time' scan mode (which is the default). I have asked their techies for help. We use CA products at home because of our success with their products at our office network. I thank all who responded, and I apologize to senior members who must realize I'm not too smart. Best weekend to everybody.

Absolutely no need - we want to help everyone - no question is too simple and is better asked rather than being left in the dark :)

Please keep us updated on this - you cannot be the only one with this problem.

Thx to PeteC for remarks. Computer Associates (CA) tech support suggested resetting all internet options to 'default' (as under security/zones) and 'restore advanced settings' under advanced tab. This solves 95+ of probs with Javascript errors, but not all. I am continuing to 'tweak' 'internet options' and to watch IE 7 closely. Will monitor this thread (and other helpful threads) at WindowsBBS. Thank you.
