I have to format and reinstall windows in my desktop. I have emails in local folders in Netscape 7.1 which I need to save and copy to my laptop. I have installed Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5 in my laptop.

I copied Inbox, Inbox.msf and Inbox.snm to "Local Folders" directory in Thunderbird. When I open thunderbird the local Inbox appears correctly, however it hangs when I explore it.

I reinstalled Thunderbird, copied only Inbox & Inbox.msf, still no use.
Any ideas how to copy the emails to Thunderbird.

    Thanks in advance.

All you need to do is to copy the file with no extention, like Inbox. Inbox.msf is the header file of NS7.1, while Inbox.snm has no business being there, since it is from NS4.x. Ideally, if you have already install Thunderbird, you should rename the file from 7.1, so that it does not overwrite the existing Inbox file. They have the same name, after all.
