Edit | Paste Special option missing in Word 2002

However, on my other PCs, it is present and working fine.

That is problem 1.

The other one is a question regarding Word when the option does work.

Is there any way I can make Edit | Paste Special | Unformatted text the default when I am copying text from the Internet into Word 2002? I use only the Unformatted option, none of the others.

I, too, am patiently awaiting an answer to your question, musicollector. I went from Office 2000 to Office 2003 with a new computer in June 2006.

I edit and publish a local fraternal organization's newsletter every month and I get a lot of my information via e-mail. The biggest difference in our problems is that I use M$ Publisher, exclusively, in the creation of my newsletter instead of Word.

I just learned about Office 2003's "paste special" about 5 or 6 months ago - with many thanks to a lady in TX who teaches the S/W and a gentleman who really knows his stuff when it comes to Office 2003. I wish I could remember their names so I could give them both a "plug" here! But, alas, I can't!

When will M$ leave well enough alone? Scheeesh!

I am relatively 'new' to computers. Nine years ago I couldn't even turn one on - today, I am "fearless "! My wife told me, "You can't hurt it." However, I proved her wrong. And then . . . . I had to learn how to FIX it - the hard way! By myself!! She just looked at me with a smile and said, "Okay, Tarzan, make it work again!! "

I'm still learning the same way! The "School of Hard Knocks "!!
