Problem when using Ghost to clone a drive

    No, the problem was not with activation. By changing the configuration, I actually had 2 different product keys installed simultaneously. That prevents Windows from opening at all.

    dell & xp

    i just put my xp=cd in my wifes dell inspiron 6000 it gave me the usual options. i chose explore it showed all on xp-cd. then i opened my comp. i could drag and drop to C: or my doc's, or open space on desktop-etc. but if it won't take your product key :confused:

    I already reinstalled XP and it works fine. I was just looking for an easy fix to getting Lotus to work, since she lost her CD.

    I cut and pasted just the software, software text and software.sav from the old config to the new config. Interestingly enough, it allowed Lotus to be used, except that portion that she uses. When we click on her icon, a message comes up saying that smart icons are missing and to reinstall the CD. Also, doing this seems to have messed up the Windows Installer, preventing new programs from being installed.
    She's ordered a new computer and will pick up another copy of Lotus, so everything will be functioning. I was able to copy her files to another old computer she has, which has Lotus, so she is still able to work. I just thought I'd pass this information on to others who might be dealing with the same problem.
